Alastair Rayner

Alastair Rayner is the principal of RaynerAg. Alastair has been committed to the beef industry for 25 years, including 17 years as a Livestock Officer (Beef Products) with NSW DPI. Alastair is well known for his passion and enthusiasm in working with producers to increase their skills, knowledge and profits.

Alastair understands and knows cattle. His ability to identify superior animals has seen him work in commercial herds selecting replacement heifers as well as judging in the show ring of Royal Shows in three states selecting champion animals.

Communication is one of Alastair's key strengths, and he is a well known public speaker at field days, conferences and industry events. He regularly contributes article to industry publications and he can speak on technical topics to any audience.

Holding a Masters of Philosophy from the University of Queensland for his research into extension methods in the NSW beef industry, Alastair also holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Systems Agriculture) with Honours, Certificate IV in Workplace Training, Assessment & Evaluation and a license to act as a Stock & Station Agent. An accomplished Trainer, Alastair is accredited to deliver ProGraze, Top Fodder Silage and Safe Stock Handling

He regularly trains small groups in social media, and he is passionate about increasing the skills and knowledge of others.
