He had been recommended to me by a colleague for his beef industry expertise and his speaking ability. Alastair exceeded my expectations on his technical expertise and he had an amazing ability to communicate with the audience, even though the participants were from a varied background of skill and experience levels. Not only could he extend the important take-home messages but he could also encourage effective discussions amongst participants for further learning and networking opportunities. Al has been of great assistance selecting replacement heifers in our breeding herd. His attention to structure and muscling has enabled us to select our replacement females earlier and therefore have the time to get these females to joining weight to calve at 2 years old. Alastair has also helped us with our bull purchases. He has worked with us to identify what our herd needs and targeting the right bull to suit our requirements on sale day.
